Healthcare Advisors of Georgia assists providers in enrolling into 7 distinct Medicaid and State programs:
NOW/COMP
The NOW/COMP Waiver is a program in Georgia managed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) designed to provide home and community-based services (HCBS) to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). "NOW" stands for New Options Waiver, and "COMP" stands for Comprehensive Supports Waiver Program. These waivers are part of the state's Medicaid program and are aimed at helping individuals with disabilities live as independently as possible while receiving services in their communities rather than in institutional settings. Enrollment is held during the entire months of March, July and November with a mandatory forum held the month prior.

440
The 440 Waiver is a program in Georgia managed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) designed to provide Behavioral Health (BH) services. These services are a recovery-oriented, community-based system of care, with the capacity to provide timely access to high-quality behavioral health treatment and support services. Recovery accepts that severe and persistent mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders are long-term conditions that a person will be managing for life. Enrollment is held during the entire months of January, May and September with a mandatory forum held the month prior.

GAPP
The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Medicaid program designed to provide specialized health care services to children with severe disabilities or chronic medical conditions who require intensive care management. The program is aimed at children under 21 years of age and provides a broad range of services, ensuring they get the specialized care they need to manage their conditions. Enrollment is held year-round.

EDWP (CCSP/SOURCE)
The Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP) is a Medicaid program that combines the benefits of two waivers: the Community Care Services Program (CCSP) and the Service Options Using Resources in a Community Environment (SOURCE) waiver. It aims to help elderly individuals and adults with disabilities who are eligible for Medicaid to live in their homes or community settings rather than in institutional care facilities, such as nursing homes. Enrollment is held during the entire months of March and September with a mandatory forum held the month prior.

ICWP
The Independent Care Waiver Program (ICWP) allows the Division of Medicaid to use Title XIX funds to purchase services for adult individuals with physical disabilities or traumatic brain injuries to live in their own homes and communities as an alternative to nursing facility placement. Individuals served by the program are required to meet the same level of care for admission to a hospital or nursing facility and be Medicaid eligible or potentially Medicaid eligible. Enrollment is year-round.

GVRA
The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency is a state agency that helps individuals with disabilities achieve their employment goals by providing a range of vocational rehabilitation services. Their mission is to assist people with disabilities in becoming employed, independent, and integrated into the community. Enrollment is held from
April 1st - May 15th.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Waiver
The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) waiver program is a Medicaid waiver designed to provide services for individuals diagnosed with ASD. The program is meant to offer support and resources for individuals and families, helping individuals with ASD live more independently and thrive in their communities. These services are provided by practitioners equipped to provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Enrollment is year-round.
LICENSING
Healthcare Advisors of Georgia assists providers in obtaining 4 permits issued by Healthcare Facilities Regulation (HFR), a division of the Department of Community Health.
Private Home Care Permit
Private Home Care Permit (PHCP) is required for businesses that provide skilled and non-skilled home care services to individuals in their homes. The services covered under a Private Home Care Permit typically involve assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and help with mobility. Skilled services (nursing) may also be covered under this permit. These services are usually provided to elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities, or others who require assistance in their homes.
Community Living Arrangement Permit
A Community Living Arrangement (CLA) permit is a residential setting permit that provides 24/7 care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The permit is issued to provide residential services with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD).
Adult Day Health Permit
An Adult Day Health (ADH) Permit in Georgia is required for facilities that provide adult day care services to individuals who are elderly or have physical or cognitive disabilities. The purpose of the permit is to ensure that the facility meets the state's health, safety, and quality of care standards to offer services that help individuals maintain independence while receiving the necessary care and support. The services provided at an ADH facility typically focus on health monitoring, socialization, personal care, and other activities to promote well-being, improve health, and enhance the quality of life for participants.
Personal Care Home Permit
A Personal Care Home (PCH) permit is a residential setting permit that provides 24/7 care to individuals who are elderly or have physical disabilities and need help with everyday personal tasks like bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring.
